How has your internet been?

Before we begin the comparison let's talk a little about ISPs.

ISP: Internet Service providers, this are companies that provide Internet access to users, usually Dial-up, radio, wireless, fiber optics, and satellite.

In Nigeria, a lot of ISPs have surfaced providing tremendous speed and access to the internet. every company comes with a plea to solve one or two underlying problems.

Today we have Starlink available in Nigeria owned by an American aerospace space company Space X,  starlink uses satellites to provide internet to users in over 80 countries.

It aimed at providing internet to the most remote regions with no access to the internet, making communication seamless and easy. starlink has a great advantage with over 99% uptime if not more.

The why you should choose Starlink for your home and businesses.

In my experience, fibre internet is fast and has speed up to 34,50,70mbps download speed some cases even more depending on your plan/subscription with your ISP.

But uptime is the number one challenge, situations where a box is down, either power or loses connection somewhere, vandals, or construction gone wrong. This problem will require engineers to trace troubleshoot and fix the problem, sometimes this procedure takes hours and most times days.

what happens during this period?

You experience slow or no internet.

If you don't have a backup of another ISP, you will be left disconnected.

Another challenge is a non-full disclosure of OUR ISPs, perhaps not well documented, usage policy that is not user-friendly to understand,

Starlink on the other hand requires you to intall your device clear to sky and you are up and running.
